Infoseite // Problems with import of cassette of SonyDCR PC105E

Frage von RatloserGast:

Hi,

Apologies in advance if this question should be schonmal emerged in the form, but I have not found in the search.

Following situation: I have a technical problem with a slightly older model, the SonyDCR PC105E, the import of video files (of the cartridge) on my calculator has so far proved impossible. All my attempts ended unsuccessfully.

To my approach: I had initially kept quasi slavishly s.die information in the manual, which I could thankfully Sony Downloading on the page of.
There have been problems with the installation of USB drivers, image transfer and image mixer on the supplied CD (I use Windows 7, the Programs but are designed up to Windows XP) had that sailed around but, as I've run the installation files in compatibility mode ( perhaps it is because I am, as I said, stumped in this respect).
When all Programs and Drivers on it, I connected the camera to the mains supply, they dressed, put in the menu on the USB stream on and then connected via a USB cable s.den Calculator, just as explained in the manual.

Now, it seems, however, like this: The camera is not listed in the workplace, but also I have seen times of time, since no memory chip is inserted and the camera itself has no files, only the (still undigitalisierten) video clips on the tape .
The calculator seems to recognize the camera in any case - when reporting for device driver installation is always there that could be used "sony digital video imaging", the Device Manager spits out only the information that the device is working properly. Updating the drivers but then I could not because only an update of unknown or has been offered to me and that was too risky.

But if it is scraping the barrel, none of the Programs in the position, the video files on the tape is imported. ImageMixer loads to be dead when I try to import files of the camera, image transfer finds no sources, live movie maker does not find sources, etc.

Any advice is welcome, the main thing, I come at last to get to the damn movies on the calculator;)

Forget what you via USB, Drivers & Co. have read, because it affects only the copying of photos or - if the camera is capable of - to use as a webcam with a greatly reduced quality. For dubbing of video is Firewire in connection with a cut or Capture software is the right choice, and you'll see in detail described everything: FireWire FAQ">/ s.PC recorder, connect your camcorder recordings capture and edit

Quote: "But the (still undigitalisierten) video clips on the tape."
The clips on the tape have already been digitized and are referred to via Firewire, in Sonysynonymous with "i-Link", just copied to the calculator.
