Infoseite // Problems writing to hard drive

Frage von Gecko:

Hello,
I have my PC Camera s.den installed and so far everything is running well. Only when it comes to capturing intermittent crashes ever. I have a feeling that always occurs when the memory is full and the data on the hard drive to be written.

I use Scenalyzer.
Only starts the transfer s.zu falter and then nothing happens anymore.
A look at the file and it shows at 0 KB. After 30 seconds it is then about 460 MB. The memory is 512MB.

WinXP SP2 with hotfixes. Panasonic NV-DS8 s.Canopus PCI Firewire card.

Someone knows a solution to the problem? Maybe some setting s.der hard drive or the fault is elsewhere?

Antwort von Gecko:

Oh, and the hard drive is not fragmented. =)

Antwort von Burckhard:

Hello,
I had similar problems with older versions of ScLive, but with version 4.0, everything is good.
Greeting Burckhard
PS: defragment the data plate is very important, otherwise yes more than written positioned. Good would be synonymous system and data on separate disks to place and not to individuals.
