Infoseite // Quality problem when capturing via USB

Frage von fredo:

Hello,

I know there are already several threads with this theme, but I have found no answer to my question ...

I have a NV-GS 75 and wants to look at my videos MAINLY on your PC or burn or put into the internet ...

I already have with the enclosed USB cable to try the video with Windows Movie Maker to copy the video to the calculator, but the quality is *******... So I checked it in another forum, and then someone has advised me to a FireWire cable, and said that USB was good for nothing at all ... in an email support of Panasonic, the answer was against:

"Basically, we can tell you that abuts the DV and USB output the same quality of video (PAL 720x576 pixels) in *. avi format."

I have yet (and even before that, a FireWire cable) bought (not the original of Pana) and tried it, but the same Ergenbins ...

If the s.Windows movie maker? (I muir Adobe Elements or Vegas, consider buying 6 to ...) My attitude has always been PAL (2.1 Mbit / s) ...

Because I know some of the videos with much worse cams have been rotated us were better (however, made synonymous with Adobe)

Thanks

Hi Fredo,

I am surprised that no other forum that knows?

It is actually quite simple, the USB 2.0 transfer film (capturing) in full quality must be carried out normally with the original program. So with you with Motion 5.1 or 5.3 - sorry I do not have exact name of the head. In SonyHC 90, PC 1000 or Canon MVX 45i is similar. Please do not branded it yet if someone has managed with a well-known program.

After dubbing a processing with another program would be possible.

But why the duplication?

1. Program x - Firewire - film editing
2. Original Program - USB - Program x - film editing

One or the other times had success with another program, but remains the exception.

So if you absolutely want to capture with USB you need it as in 2 to make unless you have the time to test all Programs.

With you there's probably 2 Problem cases: GS 75 defective (DV out) or PC problems.
But if you play through both models, it must happen a variant. It can hardly be the USB and FW port may be defective.

Hi,

I think your problem is that you already compress captures ...

PAL 2.1 MBbit / s is not suitable for recording jedenfall!

Instead, you need to bring the whole as a DV-AVI (25Mbit / s) on your PC ... s.besten with Firewire - was supposed to be supported of each program, even the Movie Maker can capture DV-AVI ...
With USB everything is not as quite uniform and there are still times here and there problems ... .
