Infoseite // Question to MiniDV, cassettes, compatibility, etc.

Frage von Rudy01:

Have a few beginner questions s.Euch:

1) A small TV channel wants of me MiniDV cassettes with recordings of events - the channel is aware of the fact that it is not dealing with professional-quality conscious. My question: Is it possible for others in general, the MiniDV tapes that I record with my NV GS250, definitely of MiniDV cameras or video recorders are played? Or are aberrations to be expected?

2) The TV channel (see above) is based in France. There is indeed used the SECAM system. But yes on MiniDV in PAL format features. Because most problems are expected, or because the system is DIGITAL yes, it is not in itself indicate that?

3) How many times can you really a MiniDV tape always starting up again until it would have quality problems?

Yes, there should be no problems. The DV format is a common standard and, therefore, is synonymous of all DV devices supported (would be synonymous silly otherwise).

Hmmm, as far as I know, the systems are incompatible. As our colleagues in France, but probably more often likely to have to do with PAL material, it would surprise me if they have in this case, a format converter or multi-format player.

Also, I've just at Wikipedia ( http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secam) gelesen: man "verwendet man im Studio PAL and wandelt das Signal erst beim Ausstrahlen um". Also dürften die with deinen PAL-Tapes nun gar keine Probleme haben.

Bye,
Christian

Of course, perhaps of himself, however: there is no problem 's if you recorded in SP mode. With Long Play, it can sometimes lead to complications.

Antwort von Markus:

Hi All,

professional computing devices (eg, DVCAM) often do not support a long play. But the compatibility synonymous in the consumer MiniDV area is very limited, ie, a tape recorded in long play is often played with the device, with which it was recorded. - Bad luck, if your camcorder breaks in between ...
