Ready 16:9 mov file will be burned by iDVD only 4:3 on DVD. Why?
Frage von Howdie: November 2009
Hello, I know this has already been much written on the problem of 4:3 to 16:9, but I have not yet found any solution. Have ner with DV camera and the included 16:9 Filmed in Final Cut Express and imported processed there. I exported the project as a Quicktime file and have now therefore a mov file that takes the Finder displays as 16:9 and Quicktime synonymous in this format. The information which is provided with the finder of the file, I add below.
Now that I have but it burned in iDVD, it shows me the Mac and synonymous another DVD player to 4:3, so distorted. On another DVD player will play the film but in real, ie, 16:9 format. What am I doing wrong? What should I do with the movie as synonymous shown in 16:9 on the Mac is if I insert the DVD? I hope someone can help me
Antwort von tommyb:
Your anamorphic 16:9 is stored in the Resolution720x576. Thus, the DVD player can play the DVD properly, it must be material in accordance with the MPEG2 with meta-information provided with the DVD player (and the authoring program says) that it is "16:9 anamorphic.
Only then will the DVD player plays them back properly synonymous.
