Recommendation BetacamSP Converter -> DV searched

Frage von Chris:
August 2005

Hello,
can you recommend me a good and affordable price (like older / used) Converter of BetacamSP to DV or SVHS synonymous? With the Converter Beta recordings are played directly from the camcorder and are using i.Link or DV - digital and analog-in-enabled camcorder to your PC, then cut into Premiere Pro and archived as DV, must therefore only a one-off - acceptable Good - A / D conversion is done. Is there something?

Antwort von Markus:

Hello Chris,

looking at you once the A / D conversion Canopus ADVC-50 oder -55
Wenn Du (analoges) BetacamSP auf (analoges) SVHS kopieren möchtest, brauchst Du keinen A/D-Wandler. Verbinde Player and Recorder einfach per BNC- bzw. Cinchkabel miteinander.

... I did not understand. What do you really want to do?

Antwort von GhostDog:

Thus,
I will have (ie) have BetaSP recordings that I can play from a BetaSP camcorder. This signal must somehow is on the calculator and s.end, after postpro available as a DV tape. Therefore it was my idea, just the analog signal in beta, the analog inputs of my XL2 DV camcorder, and of there on the PC. Well yes, but can only 4:2:0) as synonymous Unfortunately most external converter (and apparently the two synonymous Canopussen. That would be the 500, but, as I see a bit expensive. Thanks for this tip in any case!
Is it because with a simple S-video input and a stereo audio cable synonymous, so that means I can technically (there are outputs) and qualitative (does it still good to get out) from the beta? Then I could work directly with the XM2, without an external converter. The 55 certainly should not have to be in a better outcome than the XM2 can?
Regards

Hello Chris,

The chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If the end result is there anyway to DV tape (4:2:0), then you can use your camcorder without question as an A / D converter.

Most BetaSP camcorder spend no color. As already missing times the output adapter.
