Describes the recording process and recording the final product, or vice versa?

but these are semantic subtleties.
I believe that both terms are used interchangeably in everyday life. From her word I would associate more with the recording sound systems, recording over the image area. But both terms are both used it as synonymous for the final product (recording of a concert: s.Mitschnitt the performance, b)) finished CD.

I'd say Studio is the term for a purely technical process s.der VTR, recording, however, the term for the overall process, which includes all operations with, such as synonymous to work in the picture-and sound control, Camera, VTR etc. .

I suspect that both terms are used interchangeably. Depending on the context used either Recording (Continuous,-state, mode, etc.) or recording (video recording system, etc. sszenarien). A real distinguishing factor does not exist apparently.
My linguistic tells me, however, that record rather an action that executes it is actively used, so "manual recording" and Recording for the final product, the finished "manual triggered recording. But that may be synonymous imagination. ;-)
