The Red Scarlet gets other offal (what exactly will be changed to improve / remain secret, secret, except that it is a new ASIC) and receives an HDR mode. Oh, Surprise, Surprise.
Was not long been clear that the Scarlet is not so, there is simply no longer a market for it. The gap between DSLR and Red One includes the Panasonc AG 101 perfectly. No man needs a Scarlet.
And then comes the HDR Scarlet in 2012 just before the world comes to ... at least on paper. In real anyway.
