Frage von NicoM:
Juli 2005

Hello,

I am desperately trying to dub a video of one Hi8 camcorder to a video-tape on. This is synonymous I succeed, BUT it pasiert following:
During dubbing, I can s.Television follow the video in Color. The recording is s.VIdeorecorder but black and white.
Can you tell me what I was probably wrong to do? ES is the tearing of hair ...
Regards,
NICOM

ps The Cmcorder has an S-VIDEO - output and an output for the sound. I use a scart adapter with S-video input and three RCA inputs (white, red. Tipped yellow).

Antwort von camworks:

Hi8, the uptake was done in SP or LP (long play)?

Antwort von NicoM:

Hi Arndt,

I do not know, but will check tonight, and I will report back here.

Could this be the reason for my problem?

Greeting
NICOM

Antwort von Markus:

Hello Nico,

is the host SuperVHS VCR or Hi8? Then the scart socket is switched of composite (= FBAS = "gelber Cinchstecker") auf S- Video (= Y/C = "Hosidenstecker").

Otherwise, use the normal video cable to connect your camcorder s.den recorder, not the S-Video cable.

hmm, if you can see the tv but with the same color to cable!?
I rather think that it is s.sync, the LP is on very susceptible to interference.
I can obviously mistaken synonymous, is only a presumption. Remote diagnosis is unfortunately still very difficult.

You see, and I thought, what could have done long play with it? The television is there but right dar. ;-)

Nico, the route by which the signals reach of the camera to the TV? What connections are there?

this does show that it works on view. So the cable connection should be correct, right?

It is a hundsgewöhnlicher VHS VCR ...

From the camera to the VCR via S-Video and Tonkabel. Both are connected via a scart adapter with the VCR.

From the VCR to the television via an antenna cable.

This suggests that the recorder with a Y / C playback can not do anything ...

This speaks for the assumption of Brandt, because the VCR sets the image signal to the television so to correct.

All in all, I find this very strange! I'm curious what you are trying out with the information so far, and if you something like this helps ...

Antwort von NicoM:

Hi Mark,

I have now tried almost everything possible. But does not seem to help. So I gave up and my neighbor's fucking old Hi8 box with the damn S-video output is returned with the admission that I was too stupid for the dubbing.

I showed him how the old Hi-8 watch box (sorry, but I can no longer be the thing) s.seinen Television followed. And now he is happy and sees his film in television. Hmmm.

Before I returned the box, but I have started with one last attempt, by turning the Hi8 camcorder directly s.meine an adapter connected to Digi-Cam has. And lo and behold: BLACK / WHITE. And finally ...

Thanks for your well-intentioned and loving helpfulness. But the issue is now eating for me. Although .... but would be curious to know what's actually was ... ;-))

Regards,
Nico

Antwort von Markus:

Hello Nico,

because the rest is just speculation: it could have done synonymous with the camcorder that has perhaps misadjusted over the years. I have this problem frequently encountered in recent times because people (and never have to wait out their cameras to test itself seems synonymous never) too late and notice that something is not true anymore.

If the recordings can be your neighbors are important, he could them over a TBC (just copy): 1x VHS or DVD copy as a view and 1x MiniDV video as backup.
