Hello,
in my PC, I use the ATI graphics card Sapphire HD4870.
I want to connect a second graphics card to install and Crossfire to a 3rd Connect the monitor can!
My problem: I use the motherboard MSI K9A2 Platinum and use 2 PCI cards. If I buy another 4870, it occupies 2 slots and I do not have a PCI slot.
What graphics card you can recommend that only one slot is occupied and used a PCIe slot?
Or should I buy a different sound card? Currently I only use the Creative Sound Blaster 2nd Are there any clever sound cards for a cut-cheap PC AND for a PCIe slot? Best regards,

You do not understand Crossfire correctly. So you can improve performance slightly, but the graphics cards expected in the array. The connections remain the same. Of course, you can simply add a second graphics card so - no Crossfire and then a total of four monitors possible.

Which GPU performs calculations, depends of the software first then s.and of the used graphics card.
Without knowing what you use for Programs, no card recommendation possible. Often, however, requires Quadro cards of nVidia. In the hardware requirements of the respective Programs which can be read, however.
