you do not necessarily need a microphone adapter. For a very short cable runs you can use the above adapter cable to the balanced XLR connector to connect your microphone with the unbalanced input of your camcorder.
Longer cable runs are not recommended due to the lack of symmetry, but so long as the ME66 it sits directly on the camera, should be no problem. Since in this case synonymous no phantom power is possible but must be operated with the ME66 Your K6 power adapter (not K6P) with an inserted battery.
