Ichh now have all the RAID issues and external references read (as much as possible). What I miss is:
As soon as I addition to the hard drive C: So have the two new (RAID-infected) plates and defined as RAID: I have the DV-editing program (Studio 10 plus) on the RAID system load plus: I have all the information (DV -run data s.Handycam) synonymous only in this RAID system?
That is to say, so I need the C: where XP on it and runs every other Programs, no longer for the computer, correct?

Hello Aebli,
if you have only one operating system (based on C:) of course you need for your computer processing.
To carry little effort, I would bring to the RAID partitions, all video projects with their associated AVI (MPEG etc) files, so that is not in capturing the system partition next load.
The same applies to temporary directories of video editing program. Also, the outsourcing to the raid.
This is the system partition on your XP to function freely and to possibly swap files to be accessed well constructed.
When creating a DVD are also all the plates and not just in action, so that does not mean the Festplattenperformenz such a big bottleneck.

Can you make synonymous but the reloading of modules or functions of the program is relative to the video data to be loaded so small, that does not make ausschlag. Only and only the separation of the Tem-directories of the program make sense.

I'd like Raid0, because it only counts the Gewschwindigkeit. Other data, I will save to C: or from RAID s.and to move onto C: (hope it will be synonymous ...)
