Frage von Fab95:

Hello

I and my uncle are model railway enthusiasts and every year go to Frederick Safen (great show) and I film with a small video camera of JVC. The quality leaves much to be desired but (because it is not the latest model). Now I have saved quite a long time and would like to buy a camcorder between Kosumer and prosumer. Now I'm confused, what is with the film rights. The video is it private (ie family and friends). Well, on this show are a lot of people ... what's with the movie rights? I do not movies with a "Kosumer Camera, but the material published. At the moment I would like to hf buy a Canon s21 which it is relatively difficult;). There, think I have no problems with the rights, but what's with the Prosumerkameras (such as Sony HVR-Z5)? Surely it can not be that I then ask each person for permission must be, right?

Looking forward to the answers

Antwort von Pianist:

You have not understood anything in principle: The rights of the people do not depend of the size of the camera, but on what you do with the recordings. If no publication is planned, you have to ask anyone synonymous, because the mere making of the images is not forbidden. In the bedroom it would look different.

Yeah - it was still here now for the right s.eigenen Picture of the other visitors. But apart from that, I do not think that Germany is a fair, where it is explicitly forbidden to take pictures for private purposes and to film. Because it would be ridiculous to enact prohibitions that are not enforceable. Then we would have people s.Input already removed the phones ...

Not even with great camera I had s.Input the Berlin Exhibition Grounds problems so far, but here the other day someone said that it was in Munich differently.
