Some time ago I had seen a short film, and maybe someone knows how to say, or where it is found.
The story is the following:
A man binds himself s.einen chair in his kitchen, in front of him is a gun pointed at him. On the kitchen table a wind-up toys, which slowly s.die edge of the table is moved. It falls off the table, the shutter button is pressed the gun and the man dies.
WHILE the toy so slow direction edge of the table is running, does the man tied a child out on the street, from the Kuechenfenster. He sees that the child is in danger and knows that only he can save it.
starts a fight in him to make his own life or to save the child.

I dont know whether it is German or foreign production.

So, I've now found it. It is called "Countdown"
The film itself is on the DVD "The Shawshank Redemption" with Tim Robbins, as extras.
