hallo zusammen
had of me a sony camcorder DCR-SR42E purchased.
movie file, I can via USB to my Mac Powerbook G4 play on.
But I can not watch the film, not with iMovie open and nor can I edit the film with quicktime player.
it gives me an error message that the format is not readable.
someone knows the problem? I'm new, how should I proceed, what would I use for software?

A Quicktime plugin, which should solve the problem, you can find for a few euros here: www.apple.com/quicktime/mpeg2/

FireWire FAQ">Camcorder / recorder s.PC connect, capture and edit images This is due to me nonsense. It is a HDD camcorder, which has only USB and the Mac. This combination is not easy. The MPEG-2 and MPEG Plugin Stremaclip could work.
