Hello!
I've bought myself a week before the Sony HC17E and am somewhat satisfied.
The functions are all okay except for the function "End Search"
Sometimes the power to the functional and easily from the button is gray (not selectable)
Does anyone have the HC17 or a similar model (eg: HC19) with the same problem and can help me??

On my Sony-camera (different model) end search does not work if you have taken the tape from the camera in between. If so synonymous in the manual. Maybe this is just for the HC17?

Have I never thought about it. Perhaps take out one in front Stillimage make tape onto which you can find via search / Stillimage later simply? Perhaps "catches" are synonymous, the search function, if the tape completely zurückspielt and then searches?

Hi All,
DV cassettes with chip to save the position of the last recording, so END SEARCH synonymous then available when the tape was removed in between the camcorder.
At the end of the tape cartridges without a chip is again recognized when there followed a new recording. Rewinds it back and then finds himself in something, then you come with END SEARCH automatically return to the band end.
Otherwise the function can not be turned back as they can neither cartridge (without chip yet) know your camcorder, which is the last recording on a tape.
