I'm using currently 10 HD Vegas (Movie Studio) and am very satisfied so far as synonymous. The preview of 1080i has been running this version almost smoothly (quad core Q8200). But as soon as effects come into play or material of the SD707 (1080p50) jerky it strong. I use only synonymous but a cheap graphics card.
As is where my question. Would it do any good to buy an updated graphics card. The GPU is (as far as I know) of the preview is not used. 10HD should indeed call CUDA enabled graphics cards for rendering, of the preview is the question.
Or I'm lying wrong?

You're correct. In Movie Studio Platinum HD 10 and may Vegas Pro 10 is the GPU of certain graphics cards are used, but only to render to SonyAVC not to preview purposes.
