hello to each other, have the following question:
have a sony camcorder that I use for recording with a helmet camera (www.geckocams.com). The HC42E is very compact and small and is therefore suitable to be extremely well packed in the backpack and then to be safe.
ONLY BIG is the cons: sony has the av cables and the av-in so much "excuse" that now places the plug (4 pins??) Approximately 2.5 cm from the cam extends naturally and therefore the compactness whistle goes. klarereweise first, a space problem but synonymous strains will make the plug and the connection difficult to establish (hebelwirkung)
My question therefore:
is the sony AV cable produced a standard cable or just for this camcorder? There is a possibility of the cable may get one with 90grad angle plug to?
I am very grateful for ANYONE to START and go ever been to cover if fred was already done once ... I searched HAB, honest!

Well sounds like it will be difficult and craft work.
Yes, the Sony plugs of the models of the past and this year are compatible.
There's the original cable VMC 15 but looks the same only with an S - Video Plug. I think of Hama gibts da latest synonymous now since a Sony cable, as I recall, but it looked exactly like the Sony cable.

The biggest problem will certainly be getting an appropriately angled plug blank. The rest is just happy Soldering ...

No, DIY is not my forte. As a seller, I just need to know the cable, which a Sony owner, S-Video gets.
It will be left to you but nothing else, I only know of the target 15 and the VMC + Sonymitgelieferte of Hama, but all three looked like from the front, so no angle plug.

@ markus: also thank you for your trouble, but I'm looking for no conventional AV cable with RCA plug 3.5 or 2.5 but just the "new" of sony. The front looks not at all out to cinch but it has its own plug head ... unfortunately ...

No not yet.
I always knew yet only SonyVMC 15 FS, 30 FS VMC (3 m with gold-plated plugs) and the Hama 74,213 - all 3 have no angle plug.
An angle plugs like the old jack in gibts Sonyimmer yet (VMC FR 20 & 30) but not for the newer pin stop 10 Sony connection.
