I want my SonyPC1e via Firewire for capturing s.meinen PC (Win XP SP2) to connect, but this recognizes the camera. Not so and not synonymous in WinDV or Movie Maker.

the computer, you can probably be excluded as the cause. Next, test a different firewire cable and then another MiniDV camcorder. Great response ... And what is become of it? Have the same problem synonymous, but no solution.

@ Guest: That's it. Thanks for the hint! IEEE 1394 has been disabled in bios.
@ Bernd: Interesting link. Thank you for that. If I then times really a problem with firewire should have, I know where I can see.
