Hello,
I have the following problem:
My SonyDSR-20p is known only as "SonyAV / C DV tape recorder." And I've already uninstalled the firewire patch of my Microsoft and SP2.
Both did not help. With my laptop, the player works fine.
My firewire card in the PC synonymous works because many devices are problemloß recognized.
does anybody know next?

Hello Toby,
not always a connected DV device is displayed with the exact model name. "AVC compliant DV tape recorder is" totally okay. ;-)

Mark is right. Even with my DSR 30P until I get the message that has found new hardware for which drivers to load. The path I click, then comes an error message that I click away synonymous. Then I can easily control the device from the computer with the software (or Scenalyzer LIve Lets Edit).
