I'm really in despair at me and understand why after months of reading, finally get to write on. In the hope you can understand my problem at times of the blower help.
I guess with a SonyFX7 in at 1080i. So 1440 x 1080 pixels, which consequently is a 4:3 format. Can I import the whole in the FCE with AIC 1080i the picture is totally crushed. Import I would in 1920x1080, it seems perfectly normal, but in the format takes the Cam but did not give up.
In the Settings object is 1440x1080 to see, but in a pure QT Export Picture looks at 1920x1080 normally.
Can someone tell me where my understanding of the problem lies?

All HD formats are in 16:9 format, whether 1920x1080 or 1440x1080! 720x576 would be a format in 4:3 Seitenverhältinis!

No. of HDV codec is only with a pixel aspect ratio in (1.33) The heist a pixel is not square as with Full HD 1920x1080 = 1:1 For HDV 1440 x 1080 = 1.33
Is synonymous with PAL times been the case. You're not wrong except that you have your project settings of this pixel aspect ratio (aspect ratio) have to adjust.
In FCE, the Project with "Easy Setup" on AppleIntermediateCodec be 1080i50. This menu item you can see if the box "show all" is a check mark. I have FX7 a synonymous, for me it's synonymous with FCE 3.5.
