Frage von naturized:
Hallo erstmal
I am currently facing a small problem - where do I invest now s.Besten - in the "old" or the new smaller FX1E Consumer Camera XR520. I specialize in rock climbing (http://www.vimeo.com/14838816) and films mainly with the 7D. The size difference plays a minor role. I am talking in particular about the audio control and accurate since the XR520 is lousy. Is the difference as regards the image quality in low light conditions very large? Is it still relied on the "OLD" FX1E or is it a mid stay technically obsolete?
Thanks for the help

As for audio, the FX1 is synonymous very bad, since you'd need a Z1 with XLR and good audio section.
The image quality of an FX1 but you will not be happy.
1. Records not in full HD 1440x1080i on and progressive (like your 7D)
2. to mini DV (has advantages and disadvantages)
3. Sound at you as not much more
Rather spend a little more and buy a used EX1.
Or, for your good 7D Micro / a radio system or external audio recording.
And if you like with the depth of a working 7D, the FX1 and Cams XR520 not for you -> Advantage FX1 -> which is always sharp
