Hi, can perhaps help me someone. Have a SonyHV30, and I just tried to put to film in HD and one synonymous Project. All wonderful. Wanted to import the movie via Firewire cable in Avid, but he did not display any picture, do not say he is recording. I have the cable and the camcorder in s.PC HD / DV jack. Do I need to import it to an HDMI cable?
In Setting I Setup2: Componnt out 1080i/576i

Canon HV30.
In Setting I Setup2: Componnt out 1080i/576i Why do you mention this? To capture via firewire you do not a Component. You did not stick to the Firewire cable into Component-Out?
If you have everything wired correctly (with Avid I know my way is not) but check times, whether in the playback menu of the camera to "REC / INPUT SETUP" AV> DV is OFF.

try using the menu of the Camera of HDV to DVD switch. I have the same problem, with a 20th AGM HDMI cable is not to dub da!
