Sony HVR Z1 oder Canon XL-H1?

SonyHVR Z1 or Canon XL H1?

Frage von aennie:
Januar 2008

Hello,

I would like to see in this case, no camera to buy, but merely a loan. The recordings will be in a concert hall will take place, not the concert to be filmed s.sich, but everything before and afterward and passed around.
Since I myself am an absolute beginner, I am with my search so far has come only to the extent that the two cameras
SonyHVR Z1 and Canon XL-H1 is comparable, but now can not decide what better for this purpose. It also provides me with the question of whether it is possible, the handling is relatively easy to learn.
About Help, tips and other comments I would be very grateful ...
With many regards,
aennie

Antwort von r.p.television:

I would you like in your specific case but rather to advise Z1.
Reason:
First into the XL-H1 a lot harder and especially by the top heavy very tiring to hold. For a woman even more.
And the handling is synonymous not as intuitive as the Z1.
In terms of sharpness and costumer-specific interventions, the Z1 does not really keep up, but what brings you that if you put the camera as vorallem beginner can not operate.

Alternative would be a Canon XH-A1. Which would at least not so difficult, but for a layman is still not easy to use.

The rental is at a level that only two cameras out. Have spontaneously synonymous thought Sonywäre the better, but the Council of someone who might both have been held in the hand, it is with some certainty is more valuable.

I am quite optimistic that, despite all the recordings can be anything, because ultimately must come from a few hours of film material is only a very short film is - or is that too optimistic?

Although I have of the A1 to H1 and of the FX1 to the Z1 close, but what's the simplicity of operation is concerned, I share: Z1.

Time from the perspective of an editor: It's about finding the most distinctive "moments". There is nothing for hours, if these hours, but always the same, only the bustle in the foyers show brings nothing. That is why it is important to diversify the images to bring. For static shots, of people far, the auditorium, the Philharmonic of the outside, naturally, I recommend a tripod. For portraits (of viewers?) Hand-held camera would be okay, or even charming, but the well must be consciously used. Waivers s.besten on pans and zooms. An attitude = a field of view. With each shot to capture an interesting situation. With these two terms from the language of hunters in mind, the case will succeed.

As a real beginner camera - and then immediately synonymous with a "serious" rotation - I think both suitable for little, but with a little preparation, you will create it. To design Axel has already said a lot, so of me just typing this: No matter what camera it is (I would prefer the Z1), take enough time to log in with their times and add the user guide to familiar with the handling to be synonymous or some test shots to make. Thus, not only on the way to the concert from the Camera Rental holen! Besides the very important way, could be synonymous Tripod head lighting makes sense, if it is behind the stage is a bit darker.
