Infoseite // SonyPWM original files open in FCS

Frage von Sukili:

Hello,
for viewing before the purchase of the camera, gave me a very friendly fellow files from the PWM EX 1 (SxS) on DVD available.

These original data, I would like in FinalCut Studio (v. 6.04) to import or open it to view or edit. My
Configuration: G5 / 2x2 GHz, 8 GB RAM, DeckLink Extreme, external monitor.

I have the Sony browser for the EX 1 downloaded and installed. Until then everything works.

When you try the files in FCS to open or import, the error message: "These files on that computer can not be opened".

Subsequently, I have the same action on my MAC G4/1000 with FinalCut Pro 5.1.4 started with the failure of the same error message.

What am I doing wrong?

For useful advice I am grateful in advance.

XDCAM EX is anyway only in Final Cut Pro version 6, probably 6.0.2 or 6.0.3. The old Final Cut Pro so you can save. You have the cards structure. The original file structure of the whole SxS card! Then you can Clipbrowser these things in the open and under Final Cut Pro to pass. Easy in Final Cut Pro does not make pure!

PowerMac Hello,

thank you for your answer. I have the clip from the browser address of your downloaded and installed again. He is now in the folder "Programs".

When you attempt to open up the error message appears again: "You can not open the ClipBrowser because of this system is not supported."

My Mac G5 is a 2x2Ghz, 8 BG RAM, OX 10.4.11, with FinalCut Studio 2
Version 6.0.4. So everything up to date, however, is not Leopard but Tiger. In FCS 2 is supported XDCAM.

What could be the hang?

In Final Cut Pro is already supported XDCAM. XDCAM EX is a bit different than XDCAM HD. XDCAM EX, you can only and exclusively on the Sony software to import. If does not work, nothing would work.

Hello,
I just tried it again, it's actually nothing!

From the Sony page I have this clip browser and the 2 transfer programs (transfers & Sign for FinalCutPro) downloaded and installed. The installation on the HD system works synonymous. Only the transfer programs nirgens to find and therefore is not synonymous to open.

If Sony is unable to sound German Instructions (only English and Chinese) to write, as the model from Apple is always usual, they keep your camera.

On the Sony demo DVD on the EX1 is the theme of workflow with Final Cut Pro have been treated. Consequently, this NLE with the clips of native SxS card can be read.
Try it out with the Sony Clipbrowser the clips in the MXF format to convert. With Liquid 7.2, these clips can be processed.

Hello,
The problem begins when I use this clip browser of Sony, which I downloaded and installed properly (or the address of you and the synonymous right of Sony Professional Page), do not open it. As already described, the error message: "You can use the Sony Clip Browser on this computer does not open." Configuration as indicated above.
It is therefore already s.Beginn.

PowerMac Hello,
Meanwhile, I have done it the EX1 files into FCS to load. Apparently not true what you say that the data does not EX1 XDCAM via can be loaded.

It is not the synonymous SONY Clipbrowser need to send the data to load after FCS. Only the XDCAM Transfer program is necessary for the FCS files to be transported. After the installation is in the FCS-window "Import" the Scripture "Sony XDCAM enabled. It then does the import.

Den I thought so, XDCAM Transfer says that not Clipbrowser. The latter is only available for viewing.

The Clipbrowser is not only to sift through there. He may be synonymous with the clips into different formats to be converted. With version 2.0, there are lots of other features.
