hm, as per instructions for "sony camera recorders" on the packaging is then explicitly "video 8" or "related to our 8mm video equipment." So it seems rather top condition despite the "antiquarian" to be ... that I was hardly sensible s.infos ergoogeln could seem to confirm.
My guess if really true: someone here has experience with the use of such - ahem - antiques to modern digicamcordern? or ask s.die theorists - can do quality work and hinhauen?
