My somewhat older Sony VX-1000 has a big problem:
When I am in record mode, the red lamp is turned on, REC is displayed, tape is running, everything is ok. Only when playing later, I notice that he has not been included. I can not play old tapes, because it is not so. Even if I take on already recorded tape, it does not override this.
What could be the problem? Is possibly the recording head broken?

Hello, your problem, I had 2003 with the almost identical VX700 Camera. The camera made it all up again, recording ". I have them sent directly to SonyKD to Cologne. The camera was then with cost estimates for repairs and 755.00 euros is as good as new ......

I have a SonyTRV900, which often goes with traveling. The camcorder is indeed a bit of getting on in years, but he still always makes excellent recordings (MiniDV, 3CCD, Optical Image) Stabilization.
