Infoseite // Sound of performance are no longer used synchronously with CD

Frage von TimKrieger:

Hello Slashcam professionals ..
I have the following problem .. I have a theatrical performance with a lot of recorded music. The sound came directly of the plant, unfortunately, the man two mixers and a few crackling suspended fabricates.

Now I have my CDs worried and just wanted to songs of the CD in Final Cut Pro synchronously with the recording set, and so trick. Unfortunately, the songs on the Kameratonspur a few seconds longer than that of the CD, as if they would run a bit slower.
Now, the camera recorded 48 kHz, CD is only 44.1 khz. If I change the CD in Quicktime import and export than 48 khz, then the song is strangely in Final Cut yet as long as the 44.1 khz song. How do I get the sound synchronously? Is this a known problem?

Thanks for any hints!

Hi Tim,

Unfortunately, the problem is known and only time code synchronized devices, such as the Edirol R4 (new version) are free of these quirks ...

I've always productions where the sound just directly via minidisc of the RESTREINT on Lineout is removed synonymous and there's always time differences when it comes to long continuous sequences involved (s.ca. 60 minutes it's close ...)

In this case, you can sadly only the sound via the Sound Program "at the right length" stretch - if they are given by less than 2% difference is you will not hear.
If there is more than 2% difference in length, then you can only try with a program like Adobe Audition to be this strain, since this software is an excellent filter for this step is prepared in which the pitch gleichbleibt and only the length of the file is changed.
Of course, there's synonymous other Programs that can do - but I can only say of Audition that it works great and ultimately a sound rauskommt, the "how original" sounds * g *

Whether the problem with the difference related to 44kHz and 48kHz, you can ensure the technicians in this forum to answer - I can give you only from the practical report * g *

Perhaps the title on the spot has been playing really slow? With professional CD players, you can make so much so that the actors on stage do not bend over. - In this case, really only one strain of the title.

If a Tonstück with 44.1 kHz and then recorded in a project with 48 kHz inserted, it is usually a conversion of the sampling rate, without that the duration of the title changed. A poor conversion, this adaptation to audible artifacts.

In theory, an adaptation (!) Synonymous done so that 44.1-kHz title with just 48 kHz can be played, so too quickly. It could easily calculate whether this case is true.

Hello and thank you for the answers!
Quite funny thing .. As I've noticed the problem only occurred the first song .. The other match (so far 4 of 12). Times I'll go ahead and see if any others are OK. One yes, I can then stretching .. Why is the mere? Both cameras, handheld camera and shot, the latter of which directly via XLR s.der plant hung, and the hand-held camera with the Micro duties, have the same sound, only the first track on the CD does not change anything.
* Something is always ...*

Greetings and Thanks again!

Achso or what .. In the file list of Final Cut Pro Final Cut Pro displays, which all files identical bitrates, ie 48 kHz have. it is not ..

OK, mystery solved .. The need to really pitchbaren CD players have used, and the pace of the 2 songs have runtergedreht. The pitches are synonymous lower than on the CD. I stretch it to me then match times.
Thanks for the help and attention:) Great forum!
