Dear forum participants,

My last film experience still comes from the Digital 8 - era, so I am not quite up-to-date .. :-)

I am recently on SonyHDR-HC9 changed, and doing so beautiful shots in 1440 x 1080, 25000 Kbits / sec., 25 frames.

My goal: I want this material first in Pinnacle Studio 11 in the output format (DV editing and sound), then in the original format and output in the Post Production After Effects in the appropriate "look" to miss (Color correction, curves and Co.). Then the whole thing, I would like to again send s.meine Sony (and preferably without loss of quality).

That, I try now 2 days, unfortunately without success. I hope now to a professional with the notice says, what I do wrong.

My current approach:

The reading in Studio 11, the DV editing and output synonymous fold perfectly. As for the output file, I choose have always:

MPEG2, default HDV2 1080i (this corresponds, according to the Pinnacle output format, 1440 x 1080, 25000 Kbits / sec., 25 frames.). Also the file size remains manageable (1 GB per 5 minutes).

The file then can I import into After Effects. Where do I apply different effects to (so far so good, although the sound disappears while ...). But how can I send is now back to my camera? Unfortunately I have no AE output format, which is my input file. When I render the video to the list and send all the settings on "optimal" and "unchanged" leave me an AVI format angedreht. This file is growing at a 5 minutes video of 1 GB to 30 GB s.and is no longer synonymous playable (as synonymous?). So, what should I do? Or is my whole approach another grave mistake.

I would be very happy if I have somebody else could help.

Yepp, just that you importierst was always synonymous AE ausspuckt into your editing program and it must then convert the format and make the play. AE is still a Compositingtool, no editing program and on well German Shear is a crap to Compression. All operations take place in uncompressed RGB instead, which have existed from Gründner no rational way to the original format without loss to obtain.

OK, but my original format directly from the camcorder is not synonymous uncompressed? It must be possible somehow, footage from the editing program directly into After Effects to change and then back into the editing program to give. How do the other because of the use of Adobe Premiere without huge amounts of data to produce?

Why? Purchase you just yet 'ne harddrive. 500GB costs just 60 euros more times. That was moving and you simply become accustomed. You can stop work at best selective and at rendering it in AE codecs that are visually lossless and are only to compress data level, but outside of Quicktime animation, PNG and JPEG2000 as the possibilities are limited, because really good codecs such as Cineform or Sheer times now Money cost.

And on the topic of "uncompressed": What is HDV and other MPEG-2 derivatives uncompressed? Rather the opposite. If your camcorder is not allowed, by HDMI or Firewire save the image directly intervene before the stream is encoded (which is actually not a consumer or prosumer device being made), you have always been there and Compression cutting programs Zeihen these compressed data stream.

Ah, understand, thank you for the hints! Then I will now times a rendering as "lossless" in Quicktime format attempt. I hope times that Pinnacle File synonymous back then want to have ... :-)
