I'm always amazed when I see the Prices of video accessories. In a way, out of spite I have set myself the goal to build a steady cam for under 10 ¬. After some browsing at the hardware store and inspiration came out of it. (I could now make on the fly, just photos, but feels the part in quite well.
To be fair, I must say that the cost of 8 ¬ have an old weight plate came about. (It is about to try again with a small plate and 2 slices ...). Finally, when my eye on a very old cheap tripod was, I simply have their heads screwed to it. So that I can support all now s.der shoulder, or - for instance, in the breast pocket of my fishing vest - because the angle is adjustable so.

More important would be for people to know out there is good whether the synonymous what part or whether it is only a serious walker? ;)
For the principle of a "steady cam" is indeed the decoupling of the body ...
In that case, it is probably more of a shoulder rest ....

Sorry meant, of course Steadycam. The shoulder brace is indeed an alternative, or they can be synonymous, with almost all the way down and use as a handle. The angle is adjustable.
Without the weight plate, the thing is extremely easy, as the main piece is made of aluminum.

The increased inertia of a high-frequency camera shake in your Konstrktion is diminished, but the OIS can probably better.
The principle of a steady cam but based on a completely different principle, namely that of a very slow and relatively free-swinging pendulum. This at least once, the direct hand movements are not transferred directly to the camera, but affect only indirectly through various moments of inertia from above and below the joint. This has been manufactured by the rule (self-stabilizing) commuting. In order to catch this in time, but it takes a lot of foreknowledge and exercise.

Thanks for the note. The Trägheitsmonent by the free-swinging pendulum could be achieved by mE synonymous with a rubber band. I have a kind of very light Gymnastik-/Deuserband. If I wrap it around the weight and then with a slight tension to the supporting hand (alternatively other hand) vibrations are absorbed by the elastic tape.

I think you got me a little misunderstood. I can not see in all directions and very smooth-moving ball or universal joint in your design, but that there must be important.
