Infoseite // Stream WMV bitrate vs resolution - what to do?

Frage von jimpanse:

Hello!

I'm looking for one hours and not really found answer, so I allow myself here once ask politely. I hope you can help me.

We have activated a windows server with 100mbit streaming WinMedia.

I film with my cam training videos in Full HD (; SonyXirgendwas500) and then editing this video in Sony Vegas and rendere as WMV.

Previously rendered:
half the resolution, ie 960 * 540 2PHASE in each 1Mbit/512Kbit/256Kbit/128Kbit bitrates, CBR.

Problem:
IT wants to make the 100Mbit upload s.server not with these videos. (; Generate 1MBIT me through some incomprehensible action 3.5 Mbit upload per connected player s.server, probably because of the buffering? "I do not know)

I just want the following:

Show videos on the web site in quarter resolution / 480 * 270 - that fits the size of still good quality and the color sharpness should be good if it is possible.

I manage somehow with 512 or even 256 bitrates?

IT would have preferred the 256, but I can see with the current setting here is a problem, because even the colors fade alone crass.

I ask for a list of webvideos have a swelling of origin have HD 1920x1080 16:9 - What resolutions make sense with what may be and whether they produce bitrates then the Ottoman-normal-home-monitor can be displayed on fullscreen.

please help me how to render a wmv so the upload burden is small but the quality is still really good.

flash / flv with h264 codec brings nothing, because many of my friends test afternoon said it has jerky because the codec had the net. Moreover 2mbit upload ...

what do you think?

how do I stream with 256 or just max 512 in really good quali ...

maybe I'm in the tutorials for vegas video was skipped, not a plan but somehow it needs to go right? solls video may be greater, but so much bandwidth in the upload stream is not created halt.

ask for HELP!

If it is just to give finished video, then you do not need a video streaming server, as long as one (on features such as the choice of the appropriate data rate for the connection s.besten; video) must be properly prepared for it, so can.

When the bit rate you should consider what connection you want to assume the viewer, and of course, consider what you can deliver or even want.

What is the minimum bit rate still appeals must try it. That too much on repositries are refilled heavily on the content. You should try synonymous with low bit rates, whether with a reduced resolution does not look better.

Good times, I try with lower bit rate so 256iger (at a smaller resolution, yes, I believe the source / 4 / 8 must share )....

although I wonder whether I should make it better but not an FLV file, and not stream with the server.

or at least stream and WMV?

what do you like better? flv to wmv or something? format with which one has to expect rather better results?

Clearly ...

But what of the two brings out the better quali?

Now we take s.ich rendere

480x270 (; quarter of full hd)
with 256kbit a.) and b. 512kbit)

is an FLV (; and indeed can not play EVERY one is the PC can not play h.264) or WMV explorer to each I-Net, a better solution?

..
Question:
synonymous streaming server has a negative impact?

because he's already established and synonymous funz he is doing ....

Just to be sure - since you have a camera at first mentioned, I am assuming that these are real photographs, not only to screen Recordings of software interfaces. Right?

Right! real recordings to be training purposes on the internet with the best qualitative in resolutions 480 * 270 with smaller bandwidth, but as just said play with the best quali.

I try around with wmv, 256kbit/cbit-twopass/audio64kbit/15 frames .. looks nice ... but

I know what would be better not stop, flv or wmv.

And if - then with what perfect settings ...

(but unfortunately gibts auf vegas video for vegas movie studio plat. 9.0 no tuts)

Antwort von Marco:

The tutorials are mostly synonymous for Movie Studio, as the application in Vegas Pro and Movie Studio is mostly identical.

I would stay in your case with WMV, synonymous as it reduces the workload and the rendering time (; possible, because Movie Studio for FLV export is not out). In addition, with no real advantage in quality of recordings FLV expected, if not H.264 codec to use.

15 fps for web purposes, but not bad, but if you turn with 25 fps, then I would instead take even more still 12.5 fps (; is in this drop the frame rate in the Render dialog Rose). With 15 fps you nagst visible s.der movement quality than with 12.5 fps. In addition, you give with 12.5 fps at the same data rate the quality even more buffers and Optimizing render times.
If the picture does not do much, you can synonymous rate for "seconds per keyframe raise" something, perhaps to 12

The acceptable values for Height and Width WMV Movie Studio automatically corrected, if something wrong is entered, which would not be compatible with the encoder. On divisibility must be (here, only applies to WMV) are not respected then.

Take the format "Windows Media Video 9 'as a mode of" 2-pass CBR "as Resolution" 480x272 "pixel aspect" square "as a frame rate" 12.5 "with 12 seconds per keyframe.
Then the 256 kbit for video and 48 kbit mono audio (so why for a Web training video stereo?) - Audio Format Windows Media Audio 9.2 or Windows Media Audio 9 ".

Interpolate Sit also times in the project properties the "deinterlace method" to "Fields". Since this is a scaling down, let the render quality at full resolution "synonymous quietly on the default, which is good." The quality is often better than the setting for picture-backs "optimal" and also reduces the rendering time synonymous.

Make it a test with expressive material. If you're satisfied with the quality, not search for longer and stay there.

thank you very much!

such a manual I have liked, I thank you heartily.

Thanks, when I send a PN to be then I'll send you the link to the vid.

cons:
wmv stop is only in Internet Explorer, Firefox or Chrome's no plug-in then hold still remain.

But maybe I shall find constant nen download link for the plugin then I post the text in it.

Antwort von Marco:

A suitable plugin for media playback is always needed, synonymous for FLV. But who can not stream the WMV, you can still download it by right clicking on a link.

On the other hand - have tested just one of my WMV videos with Firefox on Windows without any special WMV plugin for Firefox: This is running there without any problems as a stream. But I have no idea what properties of the streaming server is hosted on it.

I'm looking forward to your test results.

how can you post the link? is password-protected area ....

aja render time with your settings is twice as long as the video continued ....

have quad 9400, 8gb ram, vista 64bit, ati 4370 1024mb ..

Antwort von Marco:

The rendering time is (measured s.den processes; HD downscaling, deinterlacing, frame rate conversion, format conversion, 2-pass encoding) completely onMit other's can render settings may take twice as long.
You could choose instead of the 2-pass encoding, of course, synonymous simple CBR encoding. Then there is again twice as fast. But this may come at the expense of quality. Can give it a try once.

The 8 GB of a 64-bit system, use Movie Studio nothing to render anyway.

Can you like to send me a link via e-mail:
