Infoseite // Switching to Vegas 8

Frage von Andreas_Kiel:

... after I Pinnacle Studio 10 of the muzzle had fully deleted (canceled repeatedly rendering, etc., etc., grotto slowly), I play even a little with the demo of Vegas 8 rum.
Seems to be much faster, does not so tough. Since I still practice a lot :-)
But there is the following problem:
- I have still a lot of material that I am of the FX1 with Studio 10 had imported via Firewire. Studio 10 has been used as m2v files. For each of these files, there are two WAV files and a few others. Importing is the format but not in Vegas ( "The plugin is not installed ...").
- GSpot tells me the code "MPEG-2", but synonymous "Codec (s) are NOT installed." But the m2v files run in VLC and Nero Showtime. I can understand it in Pinnacle Studio (würg) to open and edit. The Windows Media Player refuses (Picture shows black, timeline running crashes when exiting).
- Renaming in. Mpg brought nothing (not synonymous other extensions).

How do I get the new without capturing still in Vegas 8? Is the missing plugin in the released version because there?

Yes.

The processing of HDV material with separate audio - and video is in Vegas obviously not ideal - because these parts probably again be put together manually, either in the timeline or by using the objects previously muxed. Ever gibts to Vegas for the HDV-processing and an automatic scene, nor the separation of good supplementary tool of elcutty - or you can use the separation of Vegas scene itself (although certain limitations), or HDVSplit.

Ouch, HDVSplitt represents excellent capturing with scene detection super (why I like it still would use) but Vegas can not handle files with the. The problem I had about 3 weeks to go on hold until Marco Vegas of the video by chance found out. It leads to a memory overflow in Vegas Pro8. So be careful.
The detection of the Scene Vegas 8 is not the best I have found synonymous. Have about 3 frames s.Ende of each scene, which actually belong to the next. How can I stop?

(I would save a lot of time, synonymous when I play video and audio capture could be extra, but it is indeed in the full funzen.)
Jaaaa ... So Pi **- Nackel makes draus 5 files:
- *. M2v,
- * _1.wav,
- * _2.wav,
- *. Scn,
- *. Index2
The m2v is VLC and Showtime without a sound played.

I understand from the previous posting, that is not Vegas after separating time code? Or simply "unclean"?

According to Time Code will never be separated, if so, then to Data Code. The "impurity" in the automatic separation of HDV files with Vegas is in the nature of HDV files. The fact that it almost cosmetically unclean, it is technically clean. Maybe the result is just synonymous therefore more stable than the output of many other capture tools. But the park is not a direct route. Indirectly, it can be avoided by capturing with the Vegas scene, NOT the automatic separation and then used for the automatic separation of the files is the scripting tool of elCutty used to Wolfgang above mentioned has the link. Sounds complicated and cumbersome, but once it is through the simplicity and the benefits quickly recognize and appreciate.

Thank you first for the answers! It is not the Pro version, but Movie Studio Platinum. Since I was a little too vague!

Meanwhile I have two long days including evenings spent with the program. I am impressed with how a dozen clips out and herschieben can preview and with music still runs smoothly ... and the material in HDV (but obviously not in full resolution).

HDV in VMSP is not directly import. There are s.jedem Clip 3 frames from the next clip. I'm absence Pro version synonymous s.dem small EDL Tool failed because the cutting list VMSP not eat. Well then, I have the following warning:

"shown" wrote: (...) Ouch, HDVSplitt represents excellent capturing with scene detection super (why I like it still would use) but Vegas can not handle files with the. (...)

... beiseitegeschoben times and see ... it was very good of him. HDVSplit has created a stack of clips and the VMSP has eaten promptly. In a clip frame, 18 Drops (very interesting, that was in Pischnackel loaded with zero ... and then froze the render!), But of course nothing happened because heart :-)

So, now I wait for the full version, the demo I was fully convinced.

Last question for tonight: I want multiple clips exactly the same length or with a defined length ( "8 Seconds") are: does it work differently than with the mouse herumschubsen? Can I enter the length somewhere? The titles and still photographs, I found something ...

The warning applies to Darge of Vegas Pro, not for movie studio. In turn, Movie Studio, I am no way known, the length definition of events to be automated. In Vegas is the best of my knowledge via scripting feasible.
