I have a few weeks SonyVX1000 bought on Ebay, since it s.diversen points for its high reliability and is praised in comparison to current consumer devices much more control and a fairly good depth of field offers.
The first and most important point, it was unfortunately not so far away, because I soon blocks in Picture and later even whole strip firmly. After the repair is simply not worth synonymous and a cleaning tape little used, but even with the naked eye contamination on the head drum and the entire tape drive to be seen, I decided to clean it yourself.
I used this simple ethanol and medical cotton swab, in contrast to the normal security with no lint behind. I tested the camera and had a faultless picture.
The question that arises now is, is the reliability of ... it was a pollution, so I've finally removed, or can the same happen again soon?

Sounds like a defective tape material, which has since passed through.
When the roller still looks good, then I think the times the problem is thus eliminated. Should there auftaucen again, it is necessary to examine whether a special tape perhaps problems.
