Have used the SonyDSC-HX1 for a documentary in Thailand. Some may be funny Bridge cameras, but they are not so bad. Focus not on who does the video has to do with the HX1 very good shots. I now use a HR500VE. I noticed in Comparison to the following:

- The HX offers regular Athmo sound. The stereo microphone can not be addressed, however. The XR500V is clearly superior. Unfortunately, there is no external connection synonymous.

- Video up to 1080p, with the quality to 720p, although visible, but no longer increasing as much. The XR520 features better.

- Photos are clearly better than good camcorders. Very sharp. But a little noise in dark passages.

- Good vibration correction, but not in the zoom. Here, the XR500 is clearly better.

- Low-light capability is not so bad. But no XR500V Comparison to the point where yes is particularly striking.

- Aperture can be regulated manual. Foucs not.

- All HX1 have a series of errors. If you out-zooms out (or change the lighting conditions very quickly), the picture flashes briefly.

The HX1 recorded in 720p. But only loaded with 854 x 480 resolution youtube (HQ). Were so even 450 MB. The file is indeed of YouTube again converted, leading to additional losses.
