I of (a friend has given Sony camcorder) several MiniDV (no HD!) Cassettes, burn the contents of the request with a good shelf life on DVD. Have something not done before. Programs have the following on my PC either OEM: Windows Movie Maker 2, Nero 6 Ultra Edition, Cyberlink Power DVD 7
Also with what program should be cut and burn the videos then the format in which so later with DVD Player s.TV good quality and there is not much space is wasted by large files.
DVDs she has given me the same (Verbatim Archivable).

Pretty Clever of your acquaintance, mitzugeben you like the DVDs.
Unfortunately, it was something you accept indiscriminate.
The at least what you would need VideoStudion of Magix, Pinnacle or Ulead, so that you can then via Firewire, the cassettes of the camera into the PC, bez. authoring program dubbing.

Importing to use Virtualdub (capture)
Rough cut with Virtualdub. Then move to DVD Video in Nero and burn.
