Infoseite // Tripod for Canon HF 100

Frage von davidsch:

Hello,
I want to buy a tripod for the above camera. So far, I thought there would be no such thing as a standard. But my father has another example of a SVHS video camera tripod, where I kan not recognize the best of intentions, such as should my chamber on it. How do I know now when I see the Internet to a tripod, if it fits my camera??
Thank you once before

There are Stillimage-/Videobereich since ancient times in practice only two standard, different-sized tripod screw: the smaller 1/4-Inch to possess the most today, almost all cameras, and the larger 3/8-Inch that hardly any role in video plays - one sees from time of tripod heads that are so often attached to the tripod legs. To make things even easier, bring many tripods for the camera mounting thread sizes with both equal, and if not, there are very cheap adapter of a thread to the other. In a new tripod so you can assume that it will fit s.deine HF100. It would be interesting, however, which (for a screw your old tripod; Manufacturer? Model?) From S-VHS has time. You may not post times could be one Stillimage?

The special feature of the HF100 is that it has a second hole for the video in the usual guide pin. In addition, the tripod thread of the HF100 is sitting pretty far forward.

I myself use a Velbon CX686 (; a lighter version of the acclaimed DV -7000). The guide pin s.der tripod plate springs back, so that the absence of the hole s.der HF100 is not a problem.

The Velbon tripod plate, I have the HF100 readily converted so that the screw is now front and the camera does not sit next to tail-heavy tripod comes again, this is a small improvement, but not absolutely necessary.
