I have long been the interest of animals to shoot. Especially birds. I own a EOS 5D MKII, and a 300mm 2.8 IS with 2x teleconverter.
So far I've used the equipment to take pictures of animals, now I'd like to bring a bit of movement in my paintings.
What is missing is a clever tripod head. In the moment I have a ball of Novoflex but the pan so you get out impossible. Therefore, I would have liked something else.
Comes to mind: 300mm 2.8 IS with (2x teleconverter; about 3kg)
EOS 5D MKII with battery grip and a bit of accessories. (; about 1.5 kilograms)
So at about 4.5 kilograms.

Whether you can use a video head for photography - you can argue about it. In my opinion, only if the tripod is synonymous host a hemisphere, as a video head alone can not be leveling 3D.
