Infoseite // Two graphics cards in a PC?

Frage von steve:

Can I cut the extension of my place to install a second Graphic card. I would like to distribute Prem.Pro on two monitors.
The preview is an ext. Monitor and playback device via Firewire.

Antwort von AndyZZ:

Most modern graphics cards have two connections but anyway: D-SUB (VGA) and DVI. Because you can have two monitors connected and distributed via Screenspilt in the operating system or the video driver your desktop on two monitors. (Right mouse click on the desktop level => Properties => Settings)

Antwort von AndyZZ:

Tube monitors (CRTs) have only the D-SUB (VGA). If you then find a better TFTs synonymous to the DVI port. Moreover, there is synonymous of adapter DVI to D-SUB (VGA).

Antwort von Peter S.:

For video editing is not really a 3D accelerator required, because the graphics card has only simple Pixelschieberei here. Even with a very old standard VGA card, it would not slow down.
