Since I always read that some people have trouble connecting their Videocam s.den PC (PC does not recognize Videocam etc.) - I would like here once a few basic tips:
1. load the correct drivers (manufacturers help pages)
2nd
camera USB menu, to ON! (the most common mistakes ...) 3. Camera via USB PC s.den
4. Camera in PLAY mode
5. Installation instructions
In this sense, good luck and have fun in video editing

... Camera via USB s.den PC ... good luck ... To avoid confusion now: capturing via USB you should of course only if the camcorder from the manufacturer about this is expressly provided for and no Firewire port. Further guidance if in doubt, the manual.

these tips do you guarantee more problems than you solve :-) Alternatively, can the same thing synonymous correct approach, namely to use Firewire as it is!
