Moin forum, a friend of mine has a little problem. He would like to digitize VHS tapes and a video grabber has to concern (USB 2.0 connection). The TV is everything is in color, then everything is s.PC S / W.
Does anyone on the fast a tip on what to do?

Advance - this USB Grabber are indeed as supoptimal. Better indeed be such as the Canopus ADVC. But he has now once the grabber.
What serves as a player? VHS or S-VHS recorder? What is the grabber for inputs? Only composite or S-Video synonymous. Perhaps like synonymous Scart?
I imagine the following reason for the black and white illustration: Should there be an S-VHS recorder, which is over Scart (Grabberseitig I care synonymous with an adapter) connected and gives the S-VHS recorder, perhaps an S-video signal (which would have s.dem you can switch perhaps), the Grabber can perhaps only composite video, then will arrive only a black and white signal in the PC.
In this case, would have an adapter of S-Video to Composite come into play. But there are two types: so-called "dumb" adapter, which can make the respective connections, and "smart" that translate the signal synonymous.
