Hello community,
just is my appointed Tiffen-43mm-UV filter come for my SD300 - had it right unpacked and determine need, that he was a little shaky in the version - this is normal and not next bad, not normal but still not next bad or should I return it?
Have read only good things of Tiffen, so I'm a little confused.

Is normal in all filters. Due to different expansion values of glass and metal would then burst, depending on the temperature, the filter glass.

I've just checked my filter. Since nothing wobbles. 2 times I was not sure. But an experiment must be repeatable so you can verify or falsify by.
Wobbling in the micrometer range, perhaps?

Have just noticed that you can turn s.Filters to the glass to turn tighter. Since then rattles synonymous nothing more. Habs now but first let loose, so that nothing happens, so if I'm outside and there it is still cold.
UV filter unscrew the transport anyway? Yes, right?

I have no flap (either synchronous or lens cap: P) but one built, which opens this car and finally not synonymous and can be lost. For filter but not so conducive.
If someone could show me now send a lens hood for the SD300 (which is already attached, I have not until now understood ...), would protect the course again ...

You can - if you can even mount the filter, and behind it closes the shutter on your camera - for a time synonymous Cokin Lens cover you can find the extra plug on filter.

Paul * Berlin: The integrated valve, of which you speak has my Canon HV-20 synonymous. The course does not protect the davorgeschraubten filter. A Gegenlichblende as you suspect protects course synonymous
not the filter.
I've bought an extra flap on the camera. The first was, I believe, of Hama. The break, however, went quite quickly. The spring, which is the correct function of the snap mechanism is needed, disappeared into nirvana.
My photo dealer rummaged then emerged from his stock a flap of Olympus, which now provides its service.

I will let the purchase of a lens cap to pass through the head, is really not expensive. until then the filter is unscrewed, of course, always:)
