Infoseite // Uncompressed recording in the XH-A1 / Chroma Keying

Frage von Front242:

Hi,
I would like to venture into the theme of Chroma Keying (via green screen) and have read that this is impossible with DV / HDV material is not, but because of the compression of the codecs and the reduced Farbsamplings (4:2:0) is not necessarily great results.
Now the question will be whether it is possible with acceptable effort to intercept the signal from the XH-A1 in an uncompressed format with 4:2:2 or at least recorded. SDI has, unfortunately, only the more expensive XH-G1 ... I've read that the Black Magic Intensity card hinbekommt maybe something like? However, I am looking for a solution to my Macbook and the BM card is only for USB 3.0.
Do you have any tips / suggestions on this (in addition to the purchase, a new Cam ;-)
Thank you. Front.

Your problem is not how you get a 4:2:2 signal into your calculator, but how it can come out of the camera. I do not think that there's a possibility. There should be camcorder that can output a 4:2:2 via HDMI. The A1 has HDMI but no, right?

Antwort von Front242:

No, the XH-A1 does not have HDMI. If need be, but still a HV-30 available, has to offer HDMI.

Benefits but not synonymous, because the camcorder can spend on the HDMI (I hope I am wrong not now, have only picked up once somewhere that there were any, that can do) that can only loop through, that is, without a tape recording.

This is already clear - hence the "mobile" solution with Macbook. So the signal and instant recording tapping on laptops.

Antwort von Frank B.:

Yes, but with a maximum of HV-30 (if they can 4:2:2), not with the A1.

The Lappi has but does not guarantee HDMI In.

Therefore, the question of whether it is appropriate accessories, which taps the HDMI signal and a 4:2:2 uncompressed stores in the Lappi. The

I suggest you do first tests with Green or Blue Screen. There is not much to dare to complain only. In compliance with a series of measures to improve the Keys and to avoid spill of the result will be quite okay. Conversely, without the know-how in the recording after you use is not synonymous 422nd Really good results you will achieve only with a finer tool such as Keylight (among others) and also with the aid of masks to protect areas or to add the mat. The first attempt is usually already a little taste of success. In order to be better, you have to invest but then usually a lot of time and work.

You're right, Axel. I have been synonymous with first attempts Final Cut Pro and made the built-in keyer. Since there is much to fine tune, but it is my HDV material s.den more critical edge than when I demo footage of an example HVX200 (DVC PRO HD) editing.
How do you do that with Keying (if any)?
And the original question has still not been answered: Is it possible to uncompressed (or 4:2:2) of not bridged the XH-A1?

The only HD video output of the device has the component connection (analog) is. From there you can in a capture card (Decklink) or convert it to HDSDI (transducers are of AJA / Blackmagic Design) and then in NEN disk recorder (NanoFlash for example).

From component output, you can directly synonymous to the AJA Ki Pro (hard disk recorder) because it has such an input.
