Infoseite // Used XL1S on EBay

Frage von Thorsten G.:

Hello,

I would like to use my first post to give me information about a buying a used XL1S catch.

I've read a lot about the spurious have been bought on Ebay and wanted to ask on here and what I actually look out for when such a purchase does not make belly landing.
Often, the sellers asked questions such as "Camera was bought in Germany "..., where the problem lies not with the equipment were purchased in Germany?
What is it with the age and where is the limit for the operating hours?
What else do I have things to look or what can I ask questions for sellers to make sure no scrap to get?

I would be on one or the other tip very pleased.

Thank you and until then,
Thorsten

Hi Thorsten,

mir gehts da similar. I liebäugle synonymous for a long time with the purchase of a used VX2100 / PD170 / XL1S.
But only in the PD170 will be synonymous operating hours.
But this is not my problem. I would like a camera before, even in hand, consider whether something wobbles whether traces of mishandling or improper opening available ..

In ebay, I've the problem that this 4-8-year-old cameras for 2 / 3 of the new leave. Since I still synonymous the VAT back, it is worth for me rather then buying a HDV camera, for example, FX1, FX7, Canon XH-A1. Then maybe I will pay 300, - ¬ more, but have the newer format, has FULL WARRANTY!, And knows exactly how many hours the camera is gone.

For me it is now, if needed, then only of someone in my vicinity, s.besten someone that I know of a few corners - otherwise only purchase!

Best wishes and good luck - Til.

Thank you for the contributions and the link!

Why is it so important to many to get a device that originally was purchased in Germany?

What do you use cassettes with the XL1S and what you can recommend?

Whether the camera in Germany or in Timbuktu was purchased is actually completely no preference! It is merely that there is a PAL camera (ie 50i) and not NTSC (60i).
In current models, such as the XL2, this is the case of warranty claims for any remaining warranty - you can but at a XL1S almost always excluded, since in the 12 months no more soo many of them were in the trade.
What the tapes are concerned, I can only tell you what many here and elsewhere, writing: No use Sony Premium tapes, many like Panasonic tapes (s.besten AMQ s.Ende the name).
Basically, it is apparently synonymous to recommend a band at places to stay (previous question).

Greetings - Til.

In a Sony Camera yes, a Canon with its drive to make sensitive tapes more times these problems. If the owner and the XL1S so well zurechtkamen, I would continue to use them.

Dear to the Panasonic AMQ or DVM63/83PQ/SQ/MQ change. But remember, before a head cleaning tape to use. Otherwise it may be ugly "clumping" of the various band type coatings.
Btw: the PQ rich do just fine. Even though some think they necessarily want more for their pay Tapes (MQ, AMQ and SQ are significantly more expensive) ... I have in my film experience so far, several hundred tapes of Panasonic "verschossen" (PQ-AMQ) and had not a single Dropout or similar problems, is not synonymous with the better PQ or SQ `s` s. ..

With just a Directing.de is sold. The people there are (at least we think so.) Idea of the topic of film, video and Eb. Therefore one can assume that they are synonymous with good and avoid the cameras of the very well preserved.

If I in any case, a UV-synonymous to purchase and how much are you in favor of?

A UV is not in the sense of obligation, but it protects the optics from dirt and scratches, vondaher recommended. You should not take the cheapest. The HAMA of my experience are always very good.
