If this is true, then I would ask once in a film club in your area. There are still some film freaks who can fix anything. You can save the charred parts but no more.
Do not you have a player (projector) for this? Otherwise, use anything you like this - in a recorder, you can not play ;-)))

Hello,
the most common film formats were called at home Normal8 (N8) and Super 8 (S8).
