Infoseite // VCD slideshow for 16:9 plasma

Frage von Bertl:

Hello together,

I have the following problem:

On a plasma 16:9 with a Resolutionvon 852x480 a menu is displayed. Now I have a JPG of the menu with the Resolutiondes plasma (created 852x480) and that burned as VCD with Nero.
The VCD is in a standalone DVD player and is thus displayed on the plasma. The result was a distorted displayed menu. The handwriting was barely legible, even though a large font size is selected (five lines). Moreover, the picture had black bars above and below. How can that be? The Resolutiondes JPGs and the plasma are identical.
Nero is able to burn even a slideshow VCD for a 16:9 television on? What Programs do I need? How are you right?
Opening is sometime next week.
Thank you for your help

Greeting Bertl

"The Resolutionbeträgt set the standard for PAL 352 × 288 pixels with 25 frames per second for NTSC 352 × 240 pixels with 29.97 or 23.976 frames per second. The aspect ratio is 4:3, 16:9 is not planned"
Why not VCD and DVD? DVD supports 16:9 and has a Resolutionvon 720 * 576

Still images can be well on VCDs with full PAL Resolutionunterbringen. (There is one minor difference: instead of 720 will be saved here only 704 pixels.) It is important that you Burnig Nero ROM and Nero Express is not used - namely, that makes my knowledge, a slideshow with 352 x 240

And then there are a few misunderstandings about aspect ratio and pixel width. The plasma is 852 times 480th Means that the equivalent Vertical Resolution NTSC. For this screen, therefore, one Stillimage VCD in NTSC optimal. If the image effects are seen with the originals (please create as a TIFF! Want to judge), they are placed in 852 x 480 s.and it scales, if everything is correct, then in the Width to 704 by 480 and stores them in JPG format. (For example, if change with XNView under Picture size - 'keep Verhälnis' and Uncheck 'Recalculate' with Lanzcos). If possible, choose high-quality JPG (90%). Then burn, as I say, with Nero Burning ROM as NTSC still picture disc.

So - now I must correct myself. VCD (VCD exactly 2.0) supported, as of me writing, still images in full PAL or NTSC resolution. Nero Burning ROM, but apparently has forgotten how to version 5.5 of higher, burn still images in that same Resolutionals VCD. Nero Vision Express's can not ...

It now seems synonymous give any more free software, which supports the creation of VCDs in this format and clever work.

So: No VCD, but (for this screen) burn a DVD in NTSC format. Then you can even set the slideshow feature of Nero Vision Express to use intelligent ...

Why did you not just the images stored as image files on the CD?
All DVD players that I know can at least have a data CD with photos without any problems with 'slideshow' show and that's what you want, right?
So even my Grandma looks so easy on my mountain photos - very nice photos of course they get a 'hard copy' ;-)

That's the problem - You do not know them all. JPG boxes that can play CD-ROMs is only since 2002 in standard mode and not anchored, but an additional function. Ie: you never know whether and how to run the discs.
Even if the players available to it may, one would still optimize images for the small screen resolution ...

Of course, I do not know it all, I've never claimed synonymous ;-) but I've seen a bit of time and can represent not found a consumer DVD player that does not JPGs.
Actually, it was synonymous to me just to draw attention to this (possible) function s.The Bertl not possibly had thought ...

Do not you have, you should but, but what is s.wichtigsten, according to the first post they already are ...
