Infoseite // VHS to laptop. What software, hardware?

Hello s.alle.

Have a question beginner and hope that your a beginning in this area can help next.
So I have a laptop of Toshiba with 4 pin IEEE1394 connector.
New I bought Nero 7

... and there are still the old VHS family videos to DVD, I would like to.

My question is what I need yet?
An A / D converter of c.. 110? of the 240 euro cost?
You need a TV card or something?

If I buy the converter, I have everything? (Software and hardware? Think Nero can do with synonymous burn DVD's?)

I look forward to your help and links.

Yes, if you choose the most expensive solution. Maybe you can borrow as a thing or used purchase. The cheaper and equally good solution is the digitization via camcorder with dv-in - because if it has or can procure. Whether the Nero encoder, gecapturete the DV-AVI MPEG2 converted / compressed, which is good, I do not know. Best MPEG2 encoder are of Canopus (ProCoderExpress), Cinema Craft and MainConcept - but cost extra.

Only one yet, next to the converter, I still need the software.
For example, Adobe Premiere 2 or? Burn to DVD MPEG2 format or what? that it is in a normal computer - player can see on TV?

I would Canopus ADVC borrow. But only 4 i-link pin connector ...

Did it about 10-12 VHS copy, which software would you advise me?
(For a good copy on DVD without a lot of gadgets)

To borrow, there is the ADVC-110 and -300. Both A / D converters have both a 4 per - synonymous as a 6-pin Firewire port. This means that you are with a cable 4-/6-poligen each converter, both s.einen PC with 4 - as synonymous with 6-pin port can. Ask times after, but my knowledge is synonymous to hire such a Firewire cable for.
