Dear "film community"

I would like an old VHS with the DVD recorder to play to this with the help of Magix 2007Plus on hard drive, or later on DVD to bring;

My Tool:

Medion PC> with S-video, composite / RCA, USB, Firewire, Audio Input (small round socket)

VHS recorder> with scart socket

Since I'm an absolute layman, I would be delighted if someone could explain to me what "cable" to connect, I need to get the best from the VHS recording out,

Hello Clara,

Holst you the best from the VHS recordings out if you get an adapter cable of Scart to RCA (1x and 2x yellow video audio red / white or red / black) take this with an ordinary analog-digital converters connect, which in turn Firewire s.den PC.

Another advantage would be the quality of it when a SVHS recorder instead of the VHS recorder is used. This would be with an S-video cable (Y / C cable) with the A / D converter connected.

Before you purchase an A / D converter you could still consider whether you like the quality digitization of your PC Magix sufficient or whether the data source that ever accepted by you the cable (as described above) directly into the PC einstöpselst.

The HC96 will test you as I recall, can use transformers. Certainty but certainly brings you a look into the manual.

Magix is a software and the video recordings can be processed, digital data is needed. The VHS recorder but only analog signals, so that an interface is needed in order to make analog to digital.

Go times Bernd proposal; in your camcorder is the required A / D converter inside! ;-)
