I have recently a DVD recorder, and am old video recordings that I still have on VHS cassettes to DVD to play on. Then I had the idea to the finished clips yet s.PC next to edit, ie titles, music, etc. (I have some experience already synonymous, working with Ulead Video Studio) Now I was not clear how I use the VOB files, OSSIBLE simply get on the computer, I have read several articles, which will have been advised that the verschidensten software with the files on the disk to rip. But now I had a great idea. have the Vob files copied to the PC and then renamed, and with the ending which MPEG et voila, I can file the normal s.PC view. Well, I wanted the whole process, and since the problem started, my clip had no sound! This means that the Windows Media Player, they were with sound, not only in Videoschnittrogramm more. Has anyone ne idea where the sound is out, and if you still somehow can solve?

Of course know by now, most of that the sound is still in the VOB, however, AC3 (Dolby 2.0 Encodes) So you need an AC3 plugin or a ripper of the AC3 to convert WAV/MP3.

But why do I in the normal Windows Media Player to hear because the sound, and in Ulead VideoStudio not? there is no way synonymous in the sound editing program to use, without the full movie to rip again? The image quality of old recordings is so synonymous already bad enough. Or is there any for the program, a plug in?

Maybe you should find something on the website of Ulead? For some video editing programs, there are (mostly paid) plug-ins for Dolby Digital.
