Hello,

I own a Canon MVX10i whom I cherish and care. The unit is 9 months old and now I've probably got some sand in the lens.

Basically, a sand damage no warranty, but the device was actually kept out of the sand and is synonymous in an otherwise great condition. The unit went to the Canon service that provides categorically invalidate the warranty. A unique sand damage can be repaired for 130 euros.

A request was soundly grace rather cold by the support. My reference to the very good condition except for the few particles in the lens was answered with silence. No guarantee was then again the answer.

The camcorder has never seen a beach or a sandbox. Should I include the camcorder in a safe and storing there 365 days a year?

Against what the camcorder is properly protected?

A response of Canon was still ... thousands of satisfied users of this product ...

Did not I already heard the answer. Otherwise, I have heard a lot of really cold silence s.anderen end of the line. Not completely, before I could listen to 5 minutes on hold Music and notices.

This is really a super bad service for a global company and a pretty pathetic picture.

Canon products will let me lie in the future. While it may be good, but if you have problems then we left alone and there is no response.

Has anyone collected in the near past, similar experiences?

6 months ago I bought my Canon. I have a small Hobbyfotoraph and watch out as my own children to them. She is synonymous eigendlich ne super camera. Well after 2 months of the lens makes knirrende noise. Everything else works fine, even synonymous nor the Lens! I posted it because I was afraid they would be otherwise totally broken and I was mitgeteielt that it has a sand damage and the repair will cost 189.51 euros.

This can surely not be, we bought it for 239Euro.

So if I buy a Canon camera, and fly on holiday, and most likely do a beach vacation, then take with my Canon to take photos, I can assume no preference, as I cherish and care, it becomes scrap.

Is not that a deficiency in the quality? And if so, I have a right of return, so I learned it in my seller training.

I am not going to pay so much money for less quality, never again Canon!

I'll try just synonymous with Kullance, but I have not much hope. Although she is a global business!

I am crying for real!

In principle, I can understand your anger before, but the more I am afraid that you will not like my experiences. I have lived for three years s.Meer with sand and was in every free minute in all weathers with a variety of cameras on the road (including a Canon Powershot A-series). Problems encountered: None. In general, Canon can not be so vulnerable then.
I then spent my time as branch managers of a Stillimage-and video shops and I had to take care of this all repair assumptions. Camera failures due to sand, etc. Although the housing were not exactly common, but they came from - across all brands. In a case which could have repaired the Manufacturer warranty, or grace, I can not remember. And that's understandable, because if a foreign object gets into the case, then that's just not the fault of the manufacturer. A claim for restitution can not be inferred by my opinion as well. The trouble is that the damage of course, but your accusations hit the wrong person.

no, I do not believe this is the wrong take. I have found in google, many of these cases, and most revolve around Canon. It has been highly noticeable.

I am with my camera handled very well, and as I said of the quality of the photos and everything, I was really excited, I loved my little camera. It has really been fun to work with. I have nothing to reproach myself because that would be mine Schult. I have gehohlt only to take photos from your camera bag. She is there to it?
