Hello,
my name is Dirk and am now the first time on Slashcam.
I have the following problem and am eager for your advice:
I had the last few years, very good camcorder, only Canon, then Sony (models I have not ready, were always in the 500-600 euro class, so high, but not synonymous base model).
I filmed mostly outdoors in daylight, especially the children (as usual) and on holiday. Nachbearbeitet I did not, but old cassettes s.and s.die viewed.
Now is my Sonykaputtgegangen, and I wonder if I am not one of high-definition will change (we have a Lion Television 16:9 HD-ready, but not full HD).
But: What do I do with my old cassette that I can with a HDD or SD-based device will no longer play.
Since the HD devices yes but the price still falls, I'm even on überlgen, now another year to wait and only take a SonyHC 51 to buy (I know, is an entry-level model, but for my purposes, it should be almost rich -- or? 16:9 But I think there is not so great ...) Then I synonymous for the future a player for the old Mini-DV.
Or is there a good player for MiniDVs (maximum 100 euro), with whom I can watch old MiniDVs? Then I would buy something and go to HD.

So synonymous HDV is recorded to miniDV cassettes and an HDV miniDV cam is synonymous with SD-resolution playback.
If a HD-Ready TV is available anyway and "must" nowadays to HD up when something new angeschaft to.
Whether HDV or AVCHD (HDD or SD card) you need to decide. Has both advantages and disadvantages.

The Canons have, as I read here, relatively self-loud noise (tape drive). There would certainly be worth an external mic. I myself have the SonyHC3 (somewhat older), which is probably something "Gracious" with the sounds. But the images are probably the HV20/HV30 "unbeatable" in this category.
The disadvantages of HDV are holding the moving parts can wear (video head drum). Therefore, a hard disk multimedia player worthwhile. Also the 1:1 you need to capture anything on the PC to get smaller, I see as a disadvantage. One advantage is safe archiving. tape into the casing and the cabinet s.in. For hard-cams, you still synonymous moving parts (hard disk that rotates). The future will be flash memory. Ever heard many thanks. The HDV Player of Canon seem so from the picture to be really awesome. Noise drive me so far have not really synonymous disturbed, and I have not noticed, perhaps I have it überhört ...
Well, if these cameras now available in the 600 euro league would slip, 740 euro has been the best so far for the HV30.
Flash-based synonymous irritates me, this is surely the future.
Are there really "pure" player for the television, with which I am the old mini-DV will play. Then I could freely synonymous to Flash-based solutions to change (and after 2 times broken camcorders, each s.Laufwerk, I would find a non-mechanical solution very promising)

You're with your decision not alone.
I still synonymous Schwanke between SonyCX11, SonySR11/12 or SonyHC9. Mir is the alternative to a backup tape to have been extremely valuable. I think hard disks are not really an alternative, you think only s.einen connected power outage at ext. hard drive and everything can be gone. At the moment I am still safe in addition to two DVBand ext. So hard but I am quite sure the solution with no HDDs.
